- ‘Platinum Sponsorship’ Conducted, Befitting the Festival’s Status as an Official Accredited Film Festival by the Academy, Goya, and César Awards
- Encouraging the Bold Passion of Short Filmmakers with the GAHSS’NA Brand Spirit Under the Theme ‘Cinéma & Lumière’
- Marking Its Presence as the Toasting Wine for Major Festival Events and the Grand Prize for the ‘Audience Award’
(April 28, 2026) – GAHSS’NA Bubbly Rosé (hereafter, GAHSS’NA Wine), the official wine of Busan, has contributed to enhancing Busan’s international cultural standing by participating as a Platinum Sponsor in the prestigious 43rd Busan International Short Film Festival (BISFF).
The Busan International Short Film Festival, celebrating its 43rd anniversary this year, was the first in Korea to receive official accreditation from the Academy (Oscar), and has since gained official accreditation from Spain’s Goya Awards and France’s César Awards, establishing itself as a world-class film festival beyond Asia. GAHSS’NA Wine, launched by RMWineries Korea in April 2025, stepped up as a representative brand of Busan to contribute to regional cultural development through sponsorship commensurate with the festival’s status.
Notably, this year’s festival selected France as the Guest Country and adopted the theme of ‘Cinéma & Lumière (Film and Light)’. Among approximately 6,000 submissions, a total of 148 films were screened, shedding light on the meaning of ‘light,’ which is completed not merely by technology but by the creator’s philosophy. GAHSS’NA Wine agreed with this artistic value and decided on the Platinum Sponsorship.
Ji-young Lee, Director of RMWineries Korea, stated, “Just as light constitutes the essence of cinema, the boldness and artistic passion of short filmmakers with their unique vision align with the brand spirit pursued by GAHSS’NA,” adding, “We are delighted that GAHSS’NA Bubbly Rosé can be a part of Busan’s dynamic ‘moment of light’ as it communicates with the world through the medium of film”.
GAHSS’NA Bubbly Rosé is the official wine of Busan, embodying Busan’s official city color, pink, and was used as the toasting wine for major events where domestic and international filmmakers mingled during the festival. In particular, it was awarded as the supplementary prize for the ‘Audience Award,’ selected by direct audience vote, further illuminating the glorious moment celebrating the best work chosen by the audience. At this event, which saw active international exchange, including a special exhibition on the Guest Country France, GAHSS’NA left a powerful impression on global film professionals with a taste and aroma embodying Busan’s identity.
Michael O’dlee, CEO of RMWineries Korea, said, “It is an honor to support the dazzling passion transmitted through the director’s lens at this world-class arena of film art,” and “We will continue to support arts and culture to further solidify Busan’s status as a UNESCO Creative City of Film”.
